Jumbong mt, which is located in Guidun-ri, Inje-eup, is facing together north and south with the Daechong peak in Sorak mountain, and forms a part of the Sorak National park. It is located at the right of the Hangye-ryung, and boasts the forest extended 1.42m nearby. This is the most similar to virgin forest in Korea. Various kinds of rare plants, such as fir trees measuring more than the both arms' span around and Modekipool. There also growing many wild edible greens, such as Pimpinella brachycarpa, Ligularia fischeri, Gondre, Osmunda japonica, and Aster scaber, which are rarely seen at normal times.

Since Jumbong Mountain is touching with the boundary of the north and south limit of the plants in Korean peninsula, there are 854 kinds of flowers and trees, which is about 20% of Korean total plants. UNESCO designated this area as the biosphere preservation area.
Jujeongol is one of the main tourist attractions in this area, and is called the 12 swamp nine valley. All forms of the rock peaks, virgin forest, the clear valley water, these are all well harmonized to make its magnificent beauty. The five-colored spring near the Joojeongol entrance is one of the must to see, but the admission is controlled since the area belongs to military zone. The road going upward to the Anguk temple, further down to Jiso is to pass through rocky slope and hard to find, it is advisable to take the Seochang ? as the starting point of the mountain climbing.
