'Mountain Longitude' is a metaphor that compares the flow of mountain, to the longitude. "Mountain Flow Chart"is the book that depicts where the Korean mountains start and end in the form of genealogical diagram.
Main stream that extends from the Mt. Baek to Mt. Jiri is referred to as Baekdudaegan, and the stream that stemmed from this main streamis classified into Jeonggan and Jeongmaek and was christened with a name. The mountain range of our nation was structured into 1 Degan, 1 Jeonggang and 13 Jeongmaek. General denomination of mountains and ridges of small and large branches that split from this stem were classified by the mountain range, and made into chart. 1,580 general denomination of mountains and ridges are aligned by the mountain range (1,611 when omissions are revised). The system of edition was treated as if genealogy: If Mt. Baekdu is assumed to be a grandfather of first generation, Mt. Jiri is the 123th generation down, and the last one of the stem that extends farthest would be the Mt. Baekdu, located in Gwangyang, South Jeonra Province, which is the 171th generation down. Simply put, the "Mountain Longitude Chart" is the genealogy of the Korean mountains.

Joseon Gwangmun Association is an organization established in December 1910 to enhance the culture of our ethnic group by preserving and distributing our classics, with Yukdang Nam Seon Choi acting as the central axis. "Mountain Longitude Chart", published by the said organization in print in February 1913 based on the collection owned by Seong Wu Choi, is referred as Joseon Gwangmun Publishing Company's copy of "Mountain Longitude Chart". Its size is that of a magazine (28.7*8.3cm) and it is comprised of 102 pages (mark as Hyeol on original text). There are other publications published later on after photoprinting the said copy, and books that were written in Korean were published recently.
